Supreme Commander 2

Postby Scout7 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 2:04 am

Haven't played any PC games in almost 2 months... was curious what games were on the horizon and just noticed that Supreme Commander 2 is shipping on Tuesday of this week.

I thought the first one was way too micro intensive for me, but with no other games of interest out there right now I think I'll give this a shot this week. I'll post my thoughts on the game once I've spent a few hours with it.

I've heard that they have dumbed it down to make it more cross platform friendly. Now normally I'd hate the sound of that, but in this particular case, knowing how the first game felt, this could be a very good thing.

Anyone tried the demo yet?

Wonder if it's on the xbox...I noticed they released SC1 on it. Let me check.

Anyone else give this game a shot.

I've been playing the campaign on easy mode and it has actually been pretty fun. Feels better than the first game for me although it is very similar with the high level of micro required. But it just seems to have a better feel IMO.

The graphics are pretty decent, the missiles and lasers are very slick. I have a really hard time visually discerning between some of the units which still bugs me, but it feels very polished.

If anyone is bored and looking for something to fill a bit of the gap as we all await Starcraft II, this is probably worth the time. Definitely check out the demo at least.
